Hand-Quilting…

leave a comment »

So I knitted up a baby blanket for my friend..decided to add some batting and fabric…

Got ready to sit at the sewing machine and my dogs pull it straight off the top of the table… effectively breakin it.

Now I have to do it by hand and my stitches are far from even…

I hope this turns out well

Maikell Shawl

So I started the shawl early August and try to set aside about an hour or so a day and have been doing really well with it I think.  My first attempts weren’t very good with Nupps so on this particular project I am substituting with 6/6 black seed beads and I am loving what is going on with them! I took pictures and will certainly be posting them at the bottom of this entry.

Who am I making it for?  Well, I intended on gifting it to my sister-in-law for either her birthday or Christmas (depending of course on when I finish it), but I may end up keeping it for myself LOL.

I am using Castle Fibers SCAB lace-weight which is 50%silk and 50% Merino Wool:

And here are a couple of  pictures of where I am at:
